Wood with a local story
Vrije Vormen uses wood from local trees. As a result every product has its own story.
Where was the tree located, how old was it, why was it cut down, is it a native or exotic species, and so on. Thanks to this story and the entirely handmade production process, I guarantee a unique piece of furniture or interior decor that is sustainable and will provide years of enjoyment thanks to its high quality.
Handcrafted from log to furniture
The production process is entirely in-house from sourcing the logs, through the drying process and sawing, to designing and manufacturing the piece. This gives me a high degree of control over all stages of the process. It inspires me and teaches me a great deal, while also allowing me to closely monitor aspects such as sustainability, quality, and character.
